2-Day DirtWise "HardCore - Building Champions" Training

Due to a number of factors we will not be conducting any of our "HardCore" schools during 2012. The extra skills that we covered during the "HardCore" classes have now been incorporated into the cirriculum of the "regular" DirtWise schools, however those skills are now practiced in trail situations that don't jeopardize each student's safety as much. The following is the outline of the original "HardCore" schools that we have conducted in the past - there may be a possibility that we will conduct more of these schools at a later stage, possibly during 2013;

The two-day DirtWise "Hardcore - Building Champions" Advanced level Riding school is aimed at either the more dedicated and accomplished riders/racers out there who have not attended a "regular" DirtWise school before, or for previous graduates of our "regular" DirtWise Riding schools, who wish to push themselves to the limit and maximize their race results and/or ability to conquer the more hardcore trail situations they may face. Each student will be encouraged to really push their limits, and to get out of their general comfort zone in as safe an environment as each situation allows - the goal will be to provide each student the opportunity to reach new skill levels and attain those "break through" moments that define great skills progression and confidence gain for future application.

These schools will have a maximum number of 15 students and will focus on "Advanced level" instruction and skills application. Minimum age for this school will be 12 years old. Pro and "A" skill level riders will find the HardCore school to be very appropriate for their learning. The same goes for mid to high "B" level riders that wish to fast track their skills improvement. Certain high skilled "C" level riders would also really benefit from the HardCore school, however it would be essential that they are highly motivated, very determined, strong willed, and have excellent physical conditioning to really get the "value for money" from this course that we want each student to attain. The HardCore school is not recommended for any rider who currently does not meet the above mentioned skill levels. Although, with each prospective HardCore student having read and understood the info we have provided here, ultimately it is their choice on whether to sign up and participate in this Advanced level training.

Basically Day 1 of the HardCore schools will consist of a more in-depth application of the skills we work on during Day 2 of our "regular" DirtWise school, trying to maximize the correct techniques to not only conquer nasty trail situations but to also do this as fast as possible while remaining safe and minimizing energy expenditure. This includes situations like railing corners, conquering big logs, very steep hills and ravines, and other somewhat intimidating obstacles generally found in extreme trail situations. Every student will be really pushing their limits during these sessions!

Day 2 of the HardCore schools will consist of conducting exercises to vastly improve each student's accelerating, braking, and cornering skills in an on-trail environment. These sessions will place a high emphasis on increasing each student's overall trail speed, plus they will also focus heaps on each student's ability to analyze and utilize superior line selection, and to safely execute skills that require minimal margins of error. Stopwatch timing will be conducted to not only help demonstrate and reinforce the correct use of these techniques, but to also create an "intense pressure environment" to improve each rider's ability to thrive in such situations thus alleviating many trail mistakes due to ineffective control of their emotions.

All students will be provided a training manual of the exact exercises you will need to perform, and the dedicated "on and off bike" training program required to reach your full physical potential.

The pricing for the HardCore DirtWise school is $450 per student. A 50% deposit will be required and once the school starts no refunds will be issued, however as always any student credits issued from cancellation or retirement during the HardCore school can be utilized towards any other available DirtWise product or future school.
